The comipere desgins the form and places he field , accotrdinf to some layout. Is there anyway i can desgin the form in some GUI editor and implement the same in the compiere . It will be faster for me , right now compiere style is so complex and time consuming.

Hi Thomas,
The answer is no. If u mean the PrintFormat in Compiere, is as it is, but with practice u can become faster, and safer, as the engine to do it is quite fault free.
Actually the architecture of it all allows u to generate such PrintFormat without further coding as the Persistence engine picks up all the fields for u to allow line reporting and layout form printing.
U can use 3rd party tools such as JasperReports to better control the Report Printing, but u have to learn another new thing.
If u are referring to the Window GUIs, same answer - No. The GUI is a result of the Application Dictionary control. Again, with practice u can become quite fast and also quite powerful in designing the app.
Remember also that all these will not result in code error or bugs, as u are not touching any codings but only metadata.
This is important as without bugs, u may enjoy a more productive use of the app. rather than waste them troubleshooting meaninglessly.
Practice is the only way to appreciate the power and advantage of Compiere.
