Hi,

Well i tried to apply for the streamyx service here at my home replacing the dial up service from tm net as i thought it would give me more benefits and advantages in doing my work.

Unfortunately a letter came to my doorsteps after 3 weeks waiting for the reply from the supplier. They told me that my area here -AU2 Keramat- is still not in their bandwith area and that i have to wait in a waiting list till their service reaches here.

I guess i just have to satisfy with this dial up internet service even though sometimes its extremely slow. At least i have access to the internet.

hmmm...i wonder why they state it in the internet that streamyx service is already covered in Taman Keramat? Their mistake or my mistake?

The problem is there is a monopoly by Telekom for the last mile of service. So other Telcos such as Maxis which is more efficient cannot enter many areas' last miles.
Govt is not determined at this moment to sacrifice the political power of Telekom Malaysia for the sake of the country.

We all suffer great loss here.

I m lucky that i was on the waiting list for about 9 months last year before getting it. I say lucky because i did not expect kampung jungle in Kuang to get anything. Maybe its our fault for not applying early so Telekon think that we dont need it yet and put on waiting list.

But its good that its not stopping u to plan on Teleworking. Pls read up our forums at sourceforge as there are issues, tasks and warnings for u to be prepared when u enter ISYS. Dont be left behind. We want u to succeed.
