BACKGROUND HOMEWORK
1) You are to study www.in-fusion.com.my and intro yourself here in this forum.
2) Figure out for yourself what you can do. Announce it here, and we will mentor you thru.
3) Do not call us on the phone, nor mail us. All issues to be in this forum only under the appropriate headings.

BACKGROUND CONTEXT
In-Fusion intend to make Open Source its flagship applications. It intend to train users and provide consultancy services for many OS apps. It will also setup certification programs for other IT companies interested to focus on these applications.

GENERAL ASSIGNMENT 1:
During reporting day, you have to give a presentation to us, on what you have achieved and plan to achieve. Your postings in this forum will also be monitored and reviewed as to your inititiative, ideas, socialibility, presentation and leadership. You can also use Bahasa or rojak.

You are also advised to use your own PC and streamyx access for doing research and project work.

Only those who have satisfactorily interacted here shall be invited to report to our main office on the dates expected.

Your whole performance is up to you alone and we are not to blame in case you do not make it for employment as one of our 3 final candidates for project employment under In-Fusion or its associate companies.

After you have all registered here, you will be assigned another hidden forum for some of the projects work.

Hi,
I'm here to introduce myself.
Firstly, I want to thank in-fusion for selecting me as one of the candidate to do the practical training in this company.
My name is Nor Affiza Fadilla bt Zainol. I am 22 years old, becoming 23 this year.
I was born on 23rd November 1982. My hometown is in Sungai Petani, Kedah. (Thank Allah, my family was not effected in the Tsunami tragedy).
I finished my primary school in 1994, and my secondary school in 1999.
I took Science Biology in my Matriculation.
I graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Bsc in Information Technology, majoring in Multimedia.
Now, Im taking ACCP course, specialization in Open Source, which will end this March (not to include the 3 months training).
Actually there's nothing to see at my past. Im looking forward at what i can do in my future, what I can contribute to the organisation im working with and where will I be in this 2 or 3 years time.

Fantastic, i tot every1 is sleeping for a week!
You earned yourself 5 marks Every activity and category carries marks, mostly reserved for the first or top three. But since u are the first and your story is not bad, and to encourage others to take the intitiative and leadership, you get it right away.

Hope that every1 keep interacting as most of our tasks will be online. Learn up as much as well as ask any questions u have, but its the interacting that helps u the most. Its a skill to be net-sociable and able to motivate and organise ppl on the web.

We have just formed a project here http://sourceforge.net/projects/university . This is the first time i m making announcement of it here. Its one of the many projects that we are looking into. Its good if u can register yourself at sourceforge too.

U dont have to go into details yet, just keep a good overall picture of things. Remember what we said during the interview, we won't teach (spoonfeed) u, as we know ppl tend to just copy or parrot what's been asked of them. I did my SPM in 1997.Then I further my study at Uniti College in Pre Science for 1 year because i'm from Arabic school background.

Ok,let me introduce myself (after taking a long time in intro) ...

My name is Wan Sapinah bt Wan Sulaiman. I'm from Kota Bharu Kelantan. I'm 24 years old (not 25 yet because my birthday is on 26/5) . I'm graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia in Bachelor of Information Technology,majoring in Multimedia (Convo-2003). I have done my practical training at Malaysian Royal Custom Department in Negeri Sembilan for 4 month. I have developed one system named as Staff Information System using ASP as a programming language for that department. After that, I worked as admin clerk at Authorised Reseller of TM Net Streamyx in Kota Bharu, Kelantan for 3 month. Then I join ACCP course at Cosmopoint started on August and will be end on April (3 month practical at your company started from 24/1). In ACCP course, my group and I have developed one system that we called Smart School System using .Net environment (asp.net) and C# as a programming language.
Now, our group try to develope another system called Maid Online System using PHP in Linux that will takes limited time(only one month). I hope we can developed it successfully. But I'm sure, by cooperate together among group members, guide from trainers, we can done it very well. (InsyaAllah)

The Apprentice. The first time I saw this reality show on TV3,I’m really impressed how this show going. In this show I know who is Donald Trump. One of the billionaire in USA. From all the reality show, I think this is the most I like it because it is not focus on entertainment but in corporate world/job and how candidates control their emotion, make a hard decision, communicate with other people, how to influence other people, manage an organization or event, last but not least is how to be a leader. It’s different than other reality show. Even though I can’t watch it every week because I don’t have tv at home. I follow it through web site. The first winner is Bill Racic right??.........


Before this, I just dreaming to be one of the candidates in that show. But now, I’m the one of the 11 candidates in The Apprentice In-Fusion System. I’m very surprised that. Now i know why during interview they said about the apprentice. They implement it to their company. Firstly, I don’t believed it, but when I open the site that was given by them. I’m shocked. I don’t know how to describe what I feel now. I feel scared, worry, surprised, proud, and everything. Actually, I like it because there have benefit for myself. I can know how much my potential in carrier. Beside that I can improve my communication skill especially in English, leadership skill, management skill and other related to requirement of job marketing.

Lastly, I hope I can be the last 3 candidates and get a good job with high salary. Also, it can make me an expert in my field like java programming. Even though I’m not from Open Source student but Client server and know java about 2 months ago. I like it because it is challenging, suspense and interesting….. . I hope I can make it. Like my uncle said, to get a good job with high salary and be a success person, firstly u must face a difficult situation and other obstacles. Most important thing is can speak in English. Now he is a manager at MAS to supply spare part of Aeroplane in South East Asia. He is my idol. Well, below this is my profile..

My name is Mohd Akmal Mohamad Zahdi. I was born at Bentong, Pahang but grow up at Pasir Mas, Kelantan. I’m 22 years old now(this year will be 23yrs). I’m first child in my family. I have 3 sisters. I’m graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia in Bac. Of Computer Science majoring in Software engineering. I have developed one system for my final year project at university. It is Outpatient Information system use MS Visual Basic 6.0 and Sql server 7.0 as database.

Now, Our group develop system that take my project final year. We add some features and improved the performance and it’s online. It is Online Diagnosis System. It is using asp.net. In this project…I’m the leader. I don’t know how to manage this project but I hope I can manage and finish it in this month.(hopefully). Ok that’s all.

I hope I can be one of the most active person in this forum and improve myself to be a succes person...

oh, that Bill Racic?.. ok u get 4 marks. Not for that answer, but the way u answer is very good.

About Java, its very technical but not dificult with hands-on practice, thats what most of my tutorials are about. U need to build the following skills, and build it fast:

1) Java with understanding of examples of MVC pattern such as implemented by Spring, Hibernate, XDoclet, etc. Sometimes just trying out one thoroughly until the end and reading on the rest is good enough.

2) XML as a method to hold information in the programming environment.

3) Application Servers such as Apache Tomcat and Jboss, but i think Tomcat is the most appealing now.

4) IBM's Eclipse, another Open Source project. Not only the IDE but its other projects to make development work very interesting and powerful.

best of luck... pls keep your messages flowing... there are other categories of marks such as for skills, and learning speed... all for 5,4,3 marks (only 3 get marks in any category.... now for this intro left only a 3mark... i haven't decided who yet, so keep trying... even though u have intro yourself and havent got the marks).

I also agree with Haslina that we only can join this forum during ACCP class especially for this month because our trainer give us time to develope a system. For group project, we have devide task among members. So, when I finish my work, I can join this forum. Sorry to say that I don't have internet at home. Maybe I will try to do something if you want us to do our work at home (yg libatkan internet).

My name is Helmi Iskandar Bin Suito. I'm 24 year old and from Muar, Johor. I've 4 siblings and I'm the younger in my family. I'm finished my secondary school in 1998 and further my education in UiTM Matriculation Courses majoring in an Information Studies. Then, after I pass the matriculation courses, I qualified for taking Bachelor of Science in Information Studies (Information System Management) with Honors. After finished my bachelor, I have done my practical training in Universiti Teknologi Petronas for 2 month. During Practical training in UTP, I being located in Information Resource Centre Department. I also developed one presentation module using Macromedia Director and SWISH. the purposed of these module is to upgrade from Microsoft PowerPoint to advance software. Then, I'm graduated on March 2004.

After graduation, I've work as contract worker in Padini Holding Berhad (Card&Customer Relation Department) for 2 month. Then, I taking ACCP courses in Cosmopoint. Majoring in Open Source, my group have done project called Online Banking System using Java. right now our group are developing system called Online Business Directory System using PHP and MySQL.

My name is Azrul Nizam B. Abd Muttalib..I'm from Wangsa maju Section 1 Setapak Kuala Lumpur. I did my SPM in 1998 and i further my studies at University Putra Malaysia branch Terengganu for Matriculation (Sceince Physic). After that, i continued my studies at KUSTEM taking course Degree IT major in Software Engineering for 3 years and I finished my degree in August 2003.

Then i join Cosmopoint for ACCP course training specialization in Open Source Technology. During this training we develop a project name Online Banking System using Java Technology.

I do belief that conducting a project through a forum is a good idea. I believe there's already a lot of forum that have been use to conduct a project work. All we(the apprentice) have to do, is to get use to the environment. Is it true?

For this time being, I dont have an internet connection at home. There's some problem with my modem. I'll try my best to fix things up, coz it seem that it is very important to have an internet access, coz we must do a lot of homework, some research, and also some discussion through the internet. But for the time being, i just can access internet during class.

Hi, Mr Red1 and all the 11 cadidates. Im so glad that I’m one of the 11 finalists in “The Apprentice” . (My brother was shocked when I said that I joined the apprentice program… ). Thanks to in-fusion systems that give me a chance to build up my career here. And now, I would like to introduce my self. My name is Juliana Bt. Adam, u can call me Julie. I’m from ipoh, perak and now I’m staying at Keramat AU3. I’m 23 years old. I’ve graduated on October 2003 with a bachelor degree in computer science majoring in multimedia at UPM. Before that, in the year 2000 I finished my matriculation level at Kolej Taj, Perak under the ministry of education. i tried to get a job after the graduation and finally after 8 months being unemployed, I joined the ACCP program by PSMB. I specialized in Open Source and my course will be finished on 23/1.
I have my own vision that is to build my own IT company which specialized in web application, software development and also IT Solution. By the way, I have already explore this site.. at first I kept on thinking what does it mean by “compiere” …so i tried to find out some clue in this forum… then, I browse through the compiere.org website that I got from the forum, it tells me all about the compiere which is the open source ERP software application. From what I understand, this forum provides the solution when working with compiere software and also sharing the knowledge among the members.
I hope that every one here especially mr. red1 can give me guidance and support to realized my vision. Your experience and courage has become my aspiration.(after reading a part of ur story in this forum). I will try to keep on posting my messages and shares the knowledge in this forum as much as possible .

Before this i have finish my diploma in computer science, 2002 at the same university. Let me introduce myself briefly, My name is Nor Affarina Binti Muhamad Appandi. I come from Malacca but now i'm stay with my family in Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang. I’m the elder and the only one girl in my family accept my mum . I have 5 younger brothers. (uish mase kecik2 punye la lasak like army but now dh ok) My father is army pension. He’s pension on last year, March. Before this, i have been stayed in many places like Sarawak, Kelantan, Pahang, Perak n so on. It’s become my sweet memories. I’m graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia,Skudai Johore. I obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science majoring in computer system and communication. After I finished my studied I join this ACCP course specialization Open Source. I think this is the good course that provided by PSMB. It have a value in IT market demand.

Thanks Mr red 1 becoz remind us to build our skill as above, as fast as possible. So I should prepare myself before I go to this company. brush up what I already learned during my studied.
