Single lingual document Client - reports not translated

Single lingual document Client - reports not translated

Hi,

Steps to reproduce :
Log with GardenAdmin and goto Client window.
Untick 'Multi lingual document'
Log off and relogin using any language but English

Launch a report
Goto Customize Format and change an item printname (the item has to be related to a translated element and maked as centrally maintained)
Note that your change has been considered.

Now, log with System and launch a SynchronizeTerminology process.

Log off and return to GardenWorld.
Launch the same report and you will see that your printname has not been updated (main or trl table), while it was marked as centrally maintained !

WDYT ? Is this a bug or a feature ?

I think is on purpose - updating PrintName is excluded for non-multilingual tenants.

I'm not sure to understand. You mean that this behaviour is correct ?
SynchronizeTerminology updates fields, process params, etc, but leaves printname ?

Yes, because print formats are related to tenants, and if the tenant doesn't want formats and reports translated then IMHO it sounds correct to avoid changing that print name.

I see what you means but isn't it the aim of 'IsCentrallyMaintained' ? which can be tick or untick for every print format (at tenant level)

If a tenant don't want SynchronizeTerminoly to update print name, he can untick the checkbox.
