Excel Dashboard Integration

Postby red1 » Sun Apr 23, 2017 11:44 pm

Together with Nakarat of Thailand, we began to collaborate on making iDempiere BI layer fully functional and easy to use. No better way than to fuse my Ninja's Info-Window Reporting tool to Excel Interactive Dashboard, pumping raw data one way (for security reasons).

The Info-Window Reporting is generated with two Ninja cuts. Resulting as Info-Window and its Reporting output. It is then saved in XLS format and sent to the Excel Dashboard and that is all for the Interative BI show to begin. Special mention of thanks to http://www.myonlinetraininghub.com for its free tutorial on how to do the amazing dashboard in a matter of strokes.

Download the Interactive BI Dashboard here http://sourceforge.net/projects/red1/files/Business/ with short movie.
Info-Window plugin and a more complete demo movie by tomorrow noon (its late here in Bangkok).

This is just the beginning. Soon we shall cover all critical areas of the ERP including Warehousing and Manufacturing, providing upper management with timely and easy to understand interactive analysis graphs.

If you wish to produce the plugin manually that exports out the info data to the Excel template, you may take the Ninja up on this. Here is what you need to set in both ModelMaker and CodeMaker. Otherwise just take the plugin created in this process at the bottom. (Typo:SalesRep_ID not Sales_Rep_ID)

Note also that you need to set the sequence to the grid order as shown in the PrintFormat's DisplayOrder tab below. Then it is a matter of copy and paste into the Excel template.

Fetch the plugin org.red1.excel and Excel template from http://sourceforge.net/projects/red1/files/Business/
