Updating Dashboard Calendar with events

The calendar in the dashboard does not do much unless you start a request by clicking on it. Now, with just a tiny plugin, we can have it tracking events of any documents. I am starting with Sales Order where a completion of it will trigger an event where its start plan date and end plan date comes from the DateOrder and DatePromised of the Sales. If no DatePromised is set then it will use the DateOrder.

The plugin is here under https://sourceforge.net/projects/red1/files/Business/ > org.request.calendar_2.1.0.<timestamp>.jar and its source is at http://bitbucket.org/red1/org.request.calendar

Below we see it in action. There is a Sales Order that is completed with its total amount displayed on its status line at the top. The calendar immediately display its information summarised as name of the Business Partner with the total of the sale. You can now click on that generated request event and zoom into its request to then zoom into its attached Sales Order. The request can then be managed as a standalone event, prompting the staff if it is not closed or its status been escalated etc. I feel this is really using the CRM Calendar to a higher level than it is currently mostly unused but standing out there on iDempiere front page. By the way this idea is from Dietmar Berlinger which he passed on from his present client, The Juice Brothers of Vienna, Austria that suggested this.
