adding columns to the intermidiate tables for import

Hi red1,
I am a very new user of compiere, and using version 252a , I am facing 2 problems at the moment
1. The compiere is installed on a red hat 3.0 advance server and on that m/c I am able to connect to both the application server and the databse server, but the all the client m/c are not able to access the application server, though the database connection is OK, this problem was not there when I installed 251g initially.for some time

2. while importing the data like that of business partner, the data first go to an intermidiate table i.e. I_BPARTNER, we can add the columns like sales rep, credit limit to the table if required, then we can log into the compiere as system -> go to Table & Column --> press ADD COLUMN FROM DB to create the column, then on the column tab we can sync the column with an existing system element.

now my problem is that after doing all the above mentioned things, the data for the added columns does gets loaded into the intermidiate table which is visible in the load BP window, but when I import the data from the import window it does not appear in the business partner window. it happens only for the columns which are added new in the I_BPARTNER table, for the existing columns the data gets imported.

Could U please show me the way, for the above said problems, I am sorry for such a big mail , but really I am in a fix .
thanks a lot and regards

Hi bobbydada,

Unfortunately this what you have done is not enough to import required data into Compiere.

You need to modify source codes (org.compiere.process.ImportBPartner in your case).

Please tell me which fields do you need to import and I will make source code changes if you do not know Java.

Regards,
Trifon

thanks trifon

Hi Bobby,
Pls organise your requests online so that others can understand the whole picture and appreciate what Trifon is doing for u.
Otherwise u have to pay for Trifon's private service. ;)
Its also up to Trifon to accept it offline. I do not impose any strict rule on such matter, as contributors are free to solicit.
Trifon is a highly capable Compierean if u wana know. :)
