Automatic Upgrade

Help is preferred to those who publish their work as Open Source and not as private branches rejecting collaboration. Such projects are not maintainable and shall be deleted.

Automatic Upgrade

Any idea to achieve automatic upgrade? Just like some software update

Hi Derek, I have thought about this - sounds something feasible to download latest patches and apply the corresponding migration scripts, but there are several issues that can become stoppers:

1 - depending on the data the migration scripts can fail on a specific instance - or require minor changes, I have confronted this in migrations perhaps in a relation of 1:100, I mean, each 100 scripts 1 requires some particular work

2 - there is no actual way to "roll back" a failed migration script

3 - this utility can be useful for testing instances - but I doubt it can serve for any production instance
