How to create a window with parent link column ?

Postby qq888 » Wed Jul 19, 2006 11:31 am

Hi , all.
I an chinese ,sorry, my English is pool!

I create two tables : PP_RJH and PP_RJH_DETAIL .
PP_RJH columns: AD_CLIENT_ID,AD_ORG_ID ,CREATED ,CREATEDBY ,ISACTIVE ,UPDATED ,UPDATEDBY ,PP_RJH_ID ,PP_RJH_BZR,PP_RJH_BZSJ ,PP_RJH_XDR,PP_RJH_XDSJ,PP_RJH_PC
PP_RJH_DETAIL columns:
AD_CLIENT_ID,AD_ORG_ID ,CREATED ,CREATEDBY ,ISACTIVE , ,UPDATED ,UPDATEDBY , PP_RJH_ID ,PP_RJH_M_NUM ,M_PRODUCT_ID ,AD_FZJG

In the "window,Tab & Fifld" window , I created a window include two tabs(one tab created from PP_RJH and the other created from PP_RJH_DETATL).
If I checked the table "PP_RJH_DETAIL" column "PP_RJH_ID " parent link column , the window show error "java.lang.NullPointerException" when I insert a new record , but the new record could be saved successful.
If I don't checked ,the window also don't show any error , it could insert a new record and save successful.

Can anyone help me in this? :?:
Thank you very much! :P

Make sure the ReferenceType is 'ID' for your field that has _ID at the end of the name. Just follow examples in GardenWorld closely.

I will delete questions that are too low level and that didnt try to work hard at studying the samples and the tutorials given in this site.

Thanks red1!
I have studied this and tried it many times, but I failed .
When I rebuilded application server (run the 2 files :RUN_setup.bat and RUN_ImportCompiere.bat) and did it again , I successed . So ,I think it maybe have errors on application server .
It is right ? :?:

Codes will compile ok anyway and that has nothing to do with Parent Link problem.

Application Server is also not a source of problem.

Your Parent Link problem remains your own settings. Follow exactly Garden World sample to solve it.

If u still dont get it right, u have not tried and discover enough.
